When All is Said and Done...
Show us Your mighty power. Psalm 80:2 Nothing is impossible with God. Luke 1:37 We learned not to rely on ourselves, but on God. 2 Corinthians 1:9 We have depended on God's grace, not on our own earthly wisdom. 2 Corinthians 1:12 Now wherever we go He uses us to tell others about the Lord. 2 Corinthians 2:14 It is not that we think we can do anything of lasting value by ourselves. Our only power and success come from God. 2 Corinthians 3:5 The veil (over our eyes, the eyes of our understanding) can be removed only by believing in Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:14 But no, my people wouldn't listen. They did not want me around. So I let them follow their own stubborn desires, living according to their own ideas. Oh, that my people would listen to Me! Oh, that they would follow Me, walking in My paths! How quickly I would subdue their enemies! Psalm 81:11-14 I fall so far short. I'm painfully aware. On a scale of cold...to...lukewarm...to...zealous... it fluctuates every day. Fits and starts. God forgive me. God get hold of me. "It's You I live for everyday," we blithely sing. Make that a reality. "I have decided to follow Jesus... no turning back, no turning back." "I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. "Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.
