Christian Commentary Encouraging Devotions

First..... you have to love Jesus.

No problem here.

Our purpose is to please God, not people. 1 Thessalonians 2:4

Read and pray.

I'm pretty extreme on this.

There's only one book.

The others can be good and helpful, but they're not The Book.

Third..... you have to deal with the hurts and disappointments and failures.

Be honest about this.

Talk to God and trusted others.

Fourth..... you have to compete, and that's where the rub comes.

We do really well in our "first space", i.e. the church setting.

It's in the "second space", the workplace, the neighborhood, that it becomes harder to share.

There's a "third place", too.

That's where we are invited before leaders, people in areas of influence.

Are we ready to share?

Fear of man holds us back.

Take authority over that in the Name of Jesus.

Our God gave us the courage to declare His Good News to you boldly in spite of great opposition. 1 Thessalonians 2:2
