How do the unbelievers live?

1) in the futility of their thinking,

2) darkened in their understanding

3) separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts

4) having lost all sensitivity

5) given over to sensuality

6) indulging in every kind of impurity with a continual lust for more

They are hopelessly confused.

Their minds are full of darkness;

they wander far from the life God gives

because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him.

They have no sense of shame.

They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity. Ephesians 4:17-19

You were taught...

1) Put off your old self.

2) Be made new in the attitude of your minds.

(Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.)

3) Put on the new self,

created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24

Therefore...

1) Speak truthfully.

2) In your anger, do not sin.

3) Don't go to bed angry!

4) Don't give the devil a foothold.

5) Don't steal....work. Do something useful.

6) Don't let unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, only what's helpful for building others up.

Let everything you say be good and helpful,

so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

7) Don't grieve the Holy Spirit.

8) Get rid of bitterness, rage, anger, brawling, slander, malice.

9) Be kind and compassionate, forgiving. Ephesians 4:25-32
