It's So Clear

Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.

Morning = beginning of each day, the start,

the first thing on our to do list.

Each morning I bring my requests to You...

Direct my prayer to You...

Lay my requests before You...

Not to my spouse.

Not to my co-workers.

To You.

Then what?

...and I wait expectantly.

Wait in expectation.

Eagerly watch.

Look up. Psalm 5:3

There is something about receiving that includes expecting to receive.

We ask, but we ask in expectation.

There is another grandchild on the way!

The mother is "expecting".

We can see signs of the inward development before the outward manifestation.

Sometimes when we pray we don't see the signs of what's on the way.

We still wait expectantly.

Because God can be trusted.

When He promises, He delivers.

It's a powerful concept, this expectation factor.

Lead me in the right path, O Lord,

Tell me clearly what to do,

and show me which way to turn. Psalm 5:8

Tell me, show me, lead me.

I've asked You in prayer.

Now I'm waiting...expecting...

And don't forget this angle...

A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees.

He said, "Daniel, you who are highly esteemed,

consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you,

and stand up, for I have now been sent to you."

And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling.

Then he continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel.

Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God,

your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.

But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days.

Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me,

because I was detained there with the king of Persia.

Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future,

for the vision concerns a time yet to come." Daniel 10:10-14

We need to pray expectantly and persistently.
