What's That I Smell?

Thanks be to God,

who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ,

always causes us to triumph in Christ,

and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.

He uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume.

For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God.

But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing.

To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom.

But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume.

And who is equal to such a task? 2 Corinthians 2:14-16

Not that we are competent or sufficient in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves,

but our competence, our sufficiency, our adequacy comes from God. 2 Corinthians 3:5

That we might not rely on ourselves but on God. 2 Corinthians 1:9

Since we have such a hope, we are very bold. 2 Corinthians 3:12

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory,

are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18

1) Am I daily walking in triumphal victory?

2) What scent am I emitting?

3) Am I relying totally on God?

4) Am I allowing the Holy Spirit to work His freedom in my life?

5) The Bible says I am being transformed. Are those around me seeing any of this?
