Let Me Tell You What the Lord Has Done

You bet!

In prayer at the youth center last night,

I had the thought for a second or third time now

that the Lord wanted to do a remarkable, notable, true conversion of one or two of the young people

and that their conversions would have a positive effect on others.

That there would be a breakthrough.

Such as would affect the whole city.

While praying I noticed one of the young people leave and go off into the night.

I continued praying.

The visiting band sang these words...

"I will show you how to take our words and make them yours."

I believe that's what the Lord wants to do for us.

Show us how to take His words and make them ours.

Earlier one of the prayer partners had prayed, "Lord, consume us."

Still earlier the leader had prayed that the place would be "thick with God's presence".

I did my usual walkaround prior to leaving for the night.

No connections with any of the young people.

Left.

Walking to my car, who should appear from around the corner but the young person who had left earlier.

I have a good relationship with the person.

We talked.

As I was driving away I had the thought that this person may be "the one".

The one of the one or two dramatic conversions I believe the Lord wants to bring about in our midst.

I was ecstatic heading home in the early morning hours.

This afternoon it was confirmed by a sister with a deep attachment to the youth.

So, I must pray for this person.

Does the person look like a likely candidate?

That's why earlier in the week I underlined...

The trouble with you is that you make your decisions on the basis of appearance.

Outward appearance.

You are looking at things as they are outwardly.

On the surface of things. 2 Corinthians 10:7

God will do such a work in our midst if we would but trust Him.
