Drawn

We spent time in corporate prayer last night praying

that the Lord would draw us and others to Himself.

No one can come to me, Jesus,

unless the Father who sent me draws them to me,

and at the last day I will raise them up. John 6:44

The catch comes here:-

This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth,

and honoureth me with their lips;

but their heart is far from me. Matthew 15:8

So, not only being drawn, but drawn rightly is important.

Good news is:-

He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,

He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;

To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,

To multiplied trials he multiplies peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,

When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,

When we reach the end of our hoarded resources

Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,

His power no boundary known unto men;

For out of His infinite riches in Jesus

He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

His love knows no boundaries.

We have depended on God's grace,

not on our own earthly wisdom. 2 Corinthians 1:12

It is God who enables us, along with you, to stand firm for Christ.

He has (drawn us), commissioned us, anointed us,

and he has identified us as his own

set his seal of ownership on us,

by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts

as the first installment, deposit, pledge

that guarantees everything he has promised us. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22
