1) Set your minds on those things which gratify the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:5

Focusing on self is the opposite of focusing on God.

Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God.

That person ignores who God is and what he is doing.

And God isn't pleased at being ignored. (MSG)

2) The sufferings of this present time are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us.

The whole creation waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God's sons to be made known. Romans 8:18-19

That's why I don't think there's any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times.

The created world itself can hardly wait for what's coming next.

Everything in creation is being more or less held back.

God reins it in until both creation and all the creatures are ready and can be released at the same moment into the glorious times ahead.

Meanwhile, the joyful anticipation deepens. (MSG)

3) Hope which is seen is not hope.

If we hope for what is unseen, we wait for it with patience and composure. Romans 8:24-25

4) All things, repeat, all things, work together and are fitting into a plan for good to those who love God. Romans 8:28

5) He destined us to be molded into the image of His Son. Romans 8:29

6) If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

Who (or what) shall ever separate us from Christ's love?

I'm absolutely convinced that nothing—

nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic,

today or tomorrow,

high or low,

thinkable or unthinkable—

absolutely nothing can get between us and God's love

because of the way that Jesus has embraced us. Roman 8:39 (MSG)

Amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him who loved us. Romans 8:35-37

7) Who are you, a mere man, to criticize and contradict and answer back to God?

Will what is formed say to Him that formed it,

Why have you made me thus? Romans 9:20

8) Confess with your lips and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord

and you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13

Note and appreciate God's gracious kindness to you...

provided you continue in His grace. Romans 11:22

From Him and through Him and to Him are all things. Romans 11:36

8) Do not be conformed to this world

but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. Romans 12:2
