Give Me This Mountain!

Don't just learn from God's Word,

but believe it will change your life.

When in Phoenix, go to @cftnaz,

Church for the Nations.

Senior pastor, @drmichaelmaiden preached Sunday on Joshua 14

which starts off with the division of the land west of the Jordan.

Now these are the areas the Israelites

received as an inheritance in the land of Canaan.

Do you know what your inheritance is?

Have you received your inheritance?

First we have to know what it is, God's divine destiny for us,
then we have to receive it.

What good is an inheritance unless we get it?

- God gave you an assignment, purpose and destiny for your life.

Caleb said,

I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me
from Kadesh Barnea to explore the land.

Caleb knew what his inheritance was.

Can you honestly say you know what God's

assignment, purpose and destiny for you is?

Caleb went to explore it.

Are you prepared to go and explore your inheritance?

Ask God what it means for you to go and "explore" His plan for you.

He won't make it hard for you.

He'll let you know what you need to know.

Then Caleb got the challenge...

and there will always be a challenge...

And I brought Moses back a report according to my convictions...

here it comes...

but my fellow Israelites
who went up with me made the hearts of the people melt in fear.

Discouraged the people.
Made our people afraid.
frightened the people
and discouraged them from entering their inheritance.

Have you ever questioned your inheritance?

Maybe questioning thoughts.

Maybe questioning comments from "well-meaning" people.

Fear trying to thwart Caleb from following after his destiny.

God doesn't give us fear.

- We have to stop acting like we're on the losing team!
Because we're not!
God always causes us to triumph!

Caleb makes the right choice...
I, however, followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.

So on that day Moses swore to me,
‘The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance
and that of your children forever,
because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.’

The decisions we make have an effect on our children, forever.

“Now then, just as the Lord promised,
He has kept me alive for forty-five years
since the time He said this to Moses,
while Israel moved about in the wilderness.

So here I am today, eighty-five years old! 85!

- Stop using your age as an excuse not to fulfill your destiny.

- You couldn't die because there was something for you to say or do.

- It's never too late to fulfill your destiny.

I am still as strong today
as the day Moses sent me out;
I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then.

- Your destiny is more powerful than any disease.

- Your destiny will keep you alive.

- Your destiny is stronger than your enemy.

Now give me this hill country, this mountain,
that the Lord promised me that day.

Trusting in the promises of God.

If the Lord's given you a promise,
He's not teasing.

And you can "remind" God of His promises to you.
That's faith.
Lord, You promised. I want it!

You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there
and their cities were large and fortified,
but, the Lord helping me,

Ever, always, the Lord helping me.
I will drive them out just as He said.

Victory over the enemy!

Repeat this faith statement.

The Lord helping me
I will drive them out just as He said.

Just as He said.

If the Lord is with me, I shall drive them out of the land.

- All prayer is important,

but the most important prayer you will ever pray

are the ones pointed to your destiny and mountain.

- Your destiny has healing for every battle you face

between now and the fulfillment of that destiny.

- God loves to hear His people say, "Give me my mountain."

- When you find your place,

the prayers you pray have more authority than anything already there.

- Stop misinterpreting your future because of discouragement.

Inside your destiny is authority over any giant on your mountain.
