Don't Ignore These

Paul writes that concerning spiritual gifts,

I don't want you to be ignorant. 1 Corinthians 12:1

- Not only are we ignorant of them,

too often we just plan ignore these gifts.

- Clearly we are not to misunderstand

these special abilities given to us by the Holy Spirit.

To each one

the manifestation of the Spirit is given

for the common good.

So we can help one each other.

A word of wisdom.
A word of knowledge.
Faith.
Gifts of healing.
Miraculous powers.
Prophecy.
Distinguishing of spirits.
Speaking in tongues.
Interpretation of tongues.

He, God, gives these gifts to each one,

just as He determines.

He alone decides which gift each person should have.

1 Corinthians 12:1-11

- These are the gifts of the Spirit.

- There are other operations of the Spirit in our lives.

Compelled by the Spirit.

Warned by the Spirit.

Made overseers by the Holy Spirit. Acts 20

Urging through the Spirit.

Spoken to by the Holy Spirit. Acts. 21

Last night I heard testimonies by youth at our youth centre.

They're just starting to find out

what it's like to hear God speaking to them.

It's just the beginning of a fascinating journey

where our knowledge of Him grows and grows

according to the Spirit working within us, and

dependent on our asking Him to work in our lives.

We actually can grow as much as we want to grow.

If we're hungry for God, He will feed us.

If we thirst after Him,

He will satisfy that thirst

and show us things we can't even imagine.

Fall deeper in love with Him today.

Draw close to Him and He will draw close to you.

He will fill you with His Holy Spirit

and equip you

to live in a manner pleasing to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
