The Sunday Report

"What do you want Me to do for you?" asked Jesus.

Sounds like a carte blanche offer, doesn't it?

What was their real need?

"Lord, we want to see."

Hmmm, do you suppose this is about more than physical sight?

Touched...could see...followed Him. Matthew 20:32-33

Just one touch from the Master's great hand.

With sight, i.e. understanding, comes following.

Out of gratitude.

Out of recognition of Who He is.

What do you want Jesus to do for you?

Your eyes will be opened. Genesis 2:4

Respond in the right way. Gen. 2:7

Not wasting time on futile plans. Psalm 2:1

Relying on the supply, provision, help of the Holy Spirit. Philippians 1:19

(Pause)

It broke His heart. Genesis 6:6

I don't want to break His heart.

I'm sure I disappoint Him often.

I don't want to use His unconditional love as a cover

for doing my own thing.

Thou, O Lord, art a shield about me. Psalm 3:3

I sense that. I'm confident of that.

Pray always. Ephesians 6:18

Come, be My disciples, and I will show you

how to fish for people. Matthew 4:19

Leave...and go to the land that I will show you. Genesis 12:1

They continued travelling by stages. Genesis 13:3

If you were thinking those were delays you were experiencing, they're stages.

God blesses those who recognize their need of Him. Matthew 5:3

Each morning I bring my requests to You

and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3

Waiting.

Expectantly.

Tell me clearly what to do,

and show me which way to turn. Psalm 5:8

Will you accept His choice even if it's contrary to yours?

Grieve not the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4:30

God has helped you conquer your enemies. Genesis 14:20

Do not be afraid, for I will protect you. Genesis 15:1

And Abram believed the Lord. Genesis 15:6

All who listen to Me will live in peace and safety,

unafraid of harm. Proverbs 1:33

Is anything too hard for the Lord? Matthew 5:14

Concentrate on understanding.

Cry out for insight and understanding. Proverbs 2:1-5
