Doing the Father's Business

If we were to wake up everyday and surrender fully to Christ

...what would our life look like?

If we gave Him our agenda for the day and became completely transparent

...what would happen?

We would be doing the Father's business

just like Jesus always was.

Jesus knew what His Father wanted Him to do and He did it.

Can the same be said of us?

While there are many who are very much about the Father's business,

there are many others who have taken an extended leave of absence.

It's time to get back to work...His work.

He will tell you specifically what that is.

He's a powerful God.

All powerful.

Too often we get caught up in the little inconsequential stuff.

We fail to see The Big Picture.

Lord, open our eyes to see what you see.

I love the story in 2 Kings 6...

When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning,

an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city.

"Oh, my lord, what shall we do?" the servant asked.

"Don't be afraid," the prophet answered.

"Those who are with us are more than those who are with them."

And Elisha prayed, "O Lord, open his eyes so he may see."

Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes,

and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:15-17

Often when we were faced with challenges,

we react by how we feel, see or hear in the natural.

This leads to us acting in ways that cause circumstances and situations to often overpower us.

We need to see in the spiritual realm, not just the natural.

Lord, open our eyes.
