On your knees.
Ever been called to pray?
Not just the Bible mandate which is enough in and of itself.
Talking about being driven to pray.
Like wild horses can't keep you away.
It's that urgent.
When the burden's heavy, there must be a reason.
Praying in the Spirit...
you might never know what you're interceding for.
The key is to be obedient to the call.
Lives may depend on it.
Or maybe it's that YOU need to pray for YOU.
God can cut through stuff in prayer times.
Ridding us of the excess baggage.
Confession of known sin's always a good place to start.
Pride.
Impure thoughts.
Or enemy assaults.
They can all be dealt with on the floor before the Lord.
Things come into focus on our knees.
Stay there till the work is done.
Take two verses and call back in the morning's not good enough.
God's after a complete overhaul.
The end of this kind of reno prayer should be a new closeness to the Lord.
Prayer is a means to an end.
That end is Him, Him alone.
Anything else is an idol.
BTW, time alone with God's not optional.
We have strongholds that He needs to deal with.
To say we don't is lying.
We have blindspots.
"If our enemy conquers our lives of prayer, then he's conquered us entirely."
"All too often we pray seeking God's approval rather than His direction!"
Or His cleansing.
Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Means continually.
Perseveringly.
Never. Stop. Praying.
