Your Posture Determines Your Position

Made me think of kneeling.

It's the best posture to access the power of God.

What keeps people from praying?

Specifically at the poorly attended weekly corporate prayer meeting.

Busyness.

Pursuit of riches.

Disappointment with God.

The "I don't need to go to church" to follow God syndrome.

Which, by the way, I doubt is possible.

To follow God apart from being connected to His people, the church.

At the very least it's difficult.

The church IS God's plan.

However deficient the church is, don't blame Him.

Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together, etc., etc.

Lukewarmness is a biggie.

When we're lukewarm in our commitment to the Lord, guess what happens?

We are vomited out. Revelation 3:16

It's not my judgment call.

God hates mediocrity.

Average doesn't cut it with God.

Lord, fire up the coals.

And what about worship?

He wants it form the heart.

Not just lip service.

Not just out of a sense of duty.

O, Lord, we need Your Spirit to fall on us.

We call out the pray-ers.

We call them to the weekly prayer meeting.

What are the hindrances?

We've listed a few already.

What are the strongholds?

I believe a big one is lack of expectancy.

We're so complacent.

Sing some songs.

Shake a hand.

Pass the plate.

Hear a pep talk.

Leave.

Same time, same station next week.

And week after week.

When God so wants to invade!

Our lives personally and the church.

Don't you think HE gets bored sometimes?

O, Lord, revive these dry bones.

Some people meet with God at camp.

The get all fired up.

Great.

Hey, why not here at home?

We need a revival of prayer.

A release of Your Spirit.

A sweep of Your Spirit, Lord.
