Plus our flesh. The pulls, the distractions, the idols. They all conspire to keep us from praying. Actually they don't have to conspire hard. We're easy "prey" when it comes to pray-ing. It takes discipline. How hard do we push ourselves. Navy Seals hard? Hardly. Are we convinced prayer will move heaven and earth? Show me. There's an emptying of self. Crying out to Him. Desperation. What value is a soul? Is it worth an hour of prayer? Ten minutes? We need to allow time and space for the Spirit to pray through us. Like in Romans 8:26. We can pray with our mind. We need to pray in the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 14:14-15 Is there evidence of resurrection life power in our prayer? Lord, come captivate me. Being shut in with God. We go forward on our knees. Not form or ritual. And...don't leave too soon. Wait for what He might say.
