Christian Commentary Encouraging Devotions

We all have different gifts,

according to the grace given us.

If a person's gift is encouraging,

let him encourage. Romans 12:6-8

Several other gifts are listed, but this is my favorite.

One of my greatest joys is encouraging young people.

Those I work with.

Those who attend the youth centre Tuesday and Friday nights.

Those who work with the youth those nights.

God loves to encourage His children.

Let's join Him

in encouraging His kids...and His potential kids.

"Too many Christians are passive spectators

rather than active participants in God's global mission."

We can be active participants by using the gift of encouragement.

Our daughter-in-law included this in her recent prayer letter...

"Please continue to pray for the youth

that they would come to know God's grace

which is available for salvation

as well as to transform their lives."

Lord, get a hold of the young people.

Get a hold of us.

May we put the things of eternity higher on our priority list.

May we cease living so much for self and

cry out to you to move in the hearts of those we come in contact with.
