Face your rebellion.

Deal with it.

I, God, have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats. Isaiah 1:11

Stop bringing meaningless offerings!

I want no more of your pious meetings. Isaiah 1:13

What meaningless things do we offer the Lord?

How about our time...

do we give Him the leftovers versus the firstfruits?

Do we think what's in it for me versus putting Him first in everything?

Even though we might mouth the right words...

do our actions show we have in fact

despised, forsaken, rejected, turned our backs on the Lord?

Your hands are full of blood;

wash and make yourselves clean. Isaiah 1:15-16

Stop doing wrong, learn to do right! Isaiah 1:16-17

He mentions this twice...

Seek justice, encourage the oppressed.

Defend the cause of the fatherless,

plead the case of the widow. Isaiah 1:17 and Isaiah 1:23

Remedial action to be taken:-

I will thoroughly purge away your dross

and remove all you impurities. Isaiah 1:25

The arrogance of man will be brought low

and the pride of man humbled. Isaiah 2:17

Stop trusting in man. Isaiah 2:22

As I see it we have a choice.

We always have a choice.

Our way or His way.

And His way is the high way.

It seems like we take one step forward

and two steps back.

I'm thankful that in His mercy and grace and faithfulness

He's always there with the second chances.

My people don’t recognize my care for them. Isaiah 1:3

May we recognize and embrace His care for us.
