To create or declare an artificial boundary
and imply that crossing it will cause trouble.
To say that a particular idea or activity will not be supported or accepted.
To conclude the matter.
If you draw a line in the sand,
you establish a limit beyond which things will be unacceptable.
This phrase came to me at prayer the other night.
It ties in with the theme of prevailing prayer that's been on my mind a lot.
Aggressive prayer.
Believing prayer.
Importunate prayer.
Urgent or persistent in asking or demanding;
insistent; refusing to be denied.
Do we pray those kinds of prayer?
Crying out to Him.
Imploring Him to act on our behalf
and on behalf of those in need, whatever that need may be.
Asking Him to intervene.
Revelation 12:11
The end times are coming.
Matthew 24 is knocking on the door.
The signs are all around us.
In all our prayer and supplications,
may we line up with His Word.
May He blow away our misconceptions of how it should go.
These are days of preparation.
We need to be willing to respond.
P.S.
When we get to the end of our rope...
we usually find Jesus there asking, "What took you so long?"
