On Larry King Live on CNN

he said that Haiti is a nation that has been bullied by God.

Blaming God for the earthquake and the loss of lives and the suffering.

That puts Penn on shaky ground.

The truth is God loves the world and the people in it. John 3:16

God doesn't bully anyone.

He pursues people in love.

He takes no pleasure in the suffering in Haiti.

Nor in the slums of Belize City and Roatan, Honduras,

both of which I visited in person last week.

While away for two weeks I meditated on the Book of John.

Through Him, Jesus, all things were made;

without Him

nothing was made that has been made. John 1:3

Jesus is central to it all.

He was in the world,

and though the world was made through Him,

the world did not recognize Him. John 1:10

They did not know Him.

Yet to all who received Him,

to those who believed in His name,

He gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

And that's still happening today.

You have to receive Jesus and believe in Him.

Turning around,

Jesus saw them following and asked,

"What do you want?" John 1:38

He asks the same question today, right now, to you and me.

"What do you want?"

What are you seeking?

Is it love? Peace? Joy? Acceptance? Security? Fulfillment?

Deep down within...what are you really looking for?

You can be really honest with God.

Talk to Him right now.

Tell Him exactly what you want.

He's no bully.

He's a loving, caring Father

eager to give good gifts to His children.

Are you a child of God?

Have you received Him?

Jesus.

You can right now, right where you are.

Just call out to Jesus.

Express your need of a Savior.

Ask His forgiveness for the mess you've created of your life.

Invite Him to come on in and take over.

This is what it means to be "born again".

Jesus said,

"I tell you the truth,

no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." John 3:3

He will start to guide you and direct you along the path of life.

The mother of Jesus had it right when she said,

"Whatever He says to you, do it." John 2:5
