Officials say it's too soon to know the disaster's death toll

but there are estimates it's in the tens of thousands.

Johnny Cash had a song, "Matthew 24 is Knocking at the Door".

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars,

but see to it that you are not alarmed.

Such things must happen,

but the end is still to come.

Nation will rise against nation,

and kingdom against kingdom.

All these are the beginning of birth pains. Matthew 24:6-8

What is our response to be?

Turn to God.

Pray for the survivors.

Give.

Samaritan's Purse is one of many agencies seeking to help.

Believe God.

Now unto Him that is able to do...

- Get that? God is able. How much?

exceeding

abundantly

above all

that we ask

or think,

immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,

- What are you asking? What are you thinking?

He is able to do way past that.

But, here's the important key...

according to His power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

- Is His power at work within you?

If you've accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior,

then you have His power within you.

But is God's power working within you?

Or are you allowing it to be stifled?

By other things.

God must have first priority in your life.

What does that look like?

Seeking Him.

Praying.

Reading His Word.

Listening for His voice.

Obeying what He says for you to do.
