Well, two messages that have to get out. 1) Joe's Place youth centre is in the final round of an online funding contest. Currently we're in 30th place as a result of online voting. We need to get into the top 25 to qualify. I read this morning... "giving thanks to the Father who qualified us." Colossians 1:12 So, I'm hopeful! We need about 500 people to go online and help us get qualified in the contest. We need those people to go to www.joesplaceyouthcentre.ca. From there you'll be directed to the place to vote. Vote once a day until December 16, 2009. The money is needed for a kitchen for the youth centre. I help serve food to up to eighty youth on Tuesday nights. We do need a kitchen! There is a ton of great stuff happening at Joe's Place. Watch the video at www.joesyouthplace.ca when you go there to vote. I'm believing God for "the missing link". To help us go viral with the message to vote. There's another message to get out. 2) We need to get the word out that Jesus saves. He delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son. Colossians 1:12-13 The fact "He delivered us" indicates we needed delivering, right? Note HE delivered us. We didn't/can't deliver ourselves. He delivered us FROM something...the domain of darkness. It's a "domain" which means it's bigger than say, a town. "Domain" speaks of authority. We were, and to some degree, still are, under the domain of darkness. But Jesus is the Way, the Truth, the Life, and the Light. The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and...release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor. Isaiah 61:1-2 And Luke 4:18 has Jesus saying that the "me" of Isaiah 61:1-2 is "Him". So He's delivered us FROM, but also He's transferred us TO somewhere. His kingdom. "Kingdom" means there's another domain with a leader. The leader is Jesus. Whose domain would you rather be in? That's the message. It's a choice. Darkness or light. Death or life. For now and eternity. It's a message that needs to go viral. Can you help. 1) Pray. 2) Forward this blog entry to others. 3) E-mail me, jim@christiancommentary.com Received these tweets today... WOW!
