Get Connected

The fact that you're reading this says something.

Hopefully it says you're interested in pursuing your relationship with the Lord.

Because that would be the primary purpose.

If it's just a series of unrelated scripture verses that would be okay on one level.

God's Word sent out does not return void.

It accomplishes a purpose. His purpose.

But is it achieving some change and transformation in your life and mine?

As in everything else in our lives,

we rely on Him to use this as He sees fit.

Surrendering our will, our motive.

Time might not tell the benefit of doing this.

Eternity will.

Let's look at Jeremiah.

You must go to everyone I send you to

and say whatever I command you. Jeremiah 1:7

They will fight against you but will not overcome you,

for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the Lord. Jeremiah 1:19

My people have committed two sins:

They have forsaken me, the spring of living water,

and have dug their own cisterns,

broken cisterns that cannot hold water. Jeremiah 2:13

The cure?

Return to the Lord, and...

Break up your unplowed ground. Jeremiah 4:3

Do not trust in deceptive words. Jeremiah 7:4

But they did not listen or pay attention; instead,

they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts.

They went backward and not forward. Jeremiah 7:24

This is what the Lord says:

"Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom

or the strong man boast of his strength

or the rich man boast of his riches,

but let him who boasts boast about this:

that he understands and knows me." Jeremiah 9:23-24

A man's life is not his own;

it is not for man to direct his steps. Jeremiah 10:23

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,

whose confidence is in him.

He will be like a tree planted by the water

that sends out its roots by the stream.

It does not fear when heat comes;

its leaves are always green.

It has no worries in a year of drought

and never fails to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:8-9

I am setting before you the way of life and the way of death. Jeremiah 21:8

I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord.

They will be my people,

and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart. Jeremiah 24:7

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,

"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13

I will turn their mourning into gladness;

I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow. Jeremiah 31:13

I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts.

I will be their God, and they will be my people. Jeremiah 31:33

I will give them singleness of heart and action,

so that they will always fear me for their own good

and the good of their children after them. Jeremiah 32:39

Ah, Lord God, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm.

Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:17
