Christian Commentary Encouraging Devotions

When the locusts have ravaged the land.

When the new wine has been snatched from our lips.

When the fields have been ruined. Joel 1:4-10

1) Spend the night in sackcloth. Joel 1:13

2) Declare a holy fast.

3) Call a sacred assembly.

4) Cry out to the Lord. Joel 1:14

5) Blow the trumpet. Joel 2:1

6) Return to the Lord with fasting, weeping and mourning. Joel 2:12

7) Rend your heart. Joel 2:13

8) Let the priests weep.

9) Cry out, "Lord, spare Your people." Joel 2:17

And afterward...

after the above nine things...

God says, "I will pour out my Spirit." Joel 2:18

Everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved. Joel 2:32

I will restore the fortunes. Joel 3:1

Then... swing the sickle for the harvest is ripe. Joel 3:13

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision. Joel 3:14

The Lord will be a refuge for His people, a stronghold. Joel 3:16
