Grab the Horns

It gets lonely in the prayer room sometimes.

Friday night at the youth center.

Sunday morning at pre-service prayer.

But, I go.

Though none go with me, still I will follow.

Friday night...

Believe God for bigger things.

Lord, reveal what's holding back Your move.

Grab hold of the altar.

Cry out for freedom for these young ones!

Give us eyes for the harvest.

It's a conflict, a battle.

Give these young ones a cause, a purpose, a reason for being.

If we were walking in tune with You,

we would know what to say, what to do.

Walking in tune.

Walking in faith and victory.

Sunday morning...

Grab the horns of the altar.

Adonijah, in fear of Solomon,

went and took hold of the horns of the altar. 1 Kings 1:50

It was a desperate crying out to God.

I fall short so often.

Don't pass the hurting, He reminds me.

Get desperate in prayer.

I MUST have it, God!

What matters more than a soul?

Getting to the heart.

Cutting away the non-essentials.

What's really important?

Relationship.

With Him.

With others.

What's a soldier?

- discipline.

- obedience.

They climb the wall like soldiers;

and they each march in line,

straight forward they march,

never deviating from their paths,

never swerving from their course,

never breaking rank.

They never jostle each other,

they do not crowd each other.

Each moves in exactly the right position.

They break through defenses

without missing a step,

without breaking ranks.

They rush upon the city.

They swarm over the city.

They enter all the houses,

climbing like thieves through the windows. Joel 2:7-9
