I've been captivated this week by the word "commit".
It started with a dream.
I lost a loved one in a crowd of people in the dream.
A young, vulnerable young one.
I woke before finding the young one.
First reaction upon waking is fear.
It was then the Lord impressed on me the word "commit".
Commit your works to the Lord
And your plans will be established.
Commit your actions to the Lord,
and your plans will succeed.
Put God in charge of your work,
then what you've planned will take place.
Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
Open up before God, keep nothing back;
He'll do whatever needs to be done:
Commit =
to entrust, especially for safekeeping;
to give in trust
to deliver, depend upon, give, hand over, leave to.
This works for people, too.
Commit them to the Lord.
After all what can puny man do anyway?
It's only the Lord that can help.
Only the Lord.
Commit everything to Him.
Give everything to Him.
Leave everything with Him.
Your work, your future, your loved ones, everything and everyone.
To the Lord.
