I'm taking a slow read through Psalm 119.
This time it's Psalm 119:9-16.
1) By obeying the Word. By living according to the Word.
2) By seeking Him.
"With my whole heart have I sought Thee. Don't let me wander (stray) from Your commandments."
3) I have hidden Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against Thee.
How do you hide God's Word in your heart? Memorizing. At the very least reading and re-reading.
4) I have recited aloud all the commandments You have given us.
There's power in speaking the Word out loud.
5) I have rejoiced in Your commandments as much as in riches. Valuing the Word. Valuing it higher than money and possessions.
6) I will study (meditate on) Your commandments and reflect on Your way.
7) I will delight in Your commandments. I will not neglect Your Word.
So many distractions. Plus laziness. A lot of things consort to keep us from His Word.
How much do you want Him?
What are you willing (as in "act of your will" = choice), what are you willing to lay aside to pursue Him?
