...unless...you stop.
You see, one thing leads to another. Cycles. Patterns.
We are creatures of habit.
Casey Treat has a book out, "Renewing the Mind".
We need to change the way we think.
Training has led to habits that mess us up, that shape our thinking.
Find out what started the bad pattern and get rid of it.
Avoiding patterns is wrong. Dealing with patterns is right.
Otherwise, patterns can become what the Bible terms strongholds.
Neil Anderson says the power of the enemy is in the lie.
Destructive patterns. Going in circles.
(By the way, thought patterns govern nations too. If a government is allowed to do it once, it'll do it again.)
Recognizing the pattern is the start to breaking it.
We are all at risk to falling into a loop.
Why would we continue to allow what's destructive?
We keep doing the same things over and over again expecting different results!
Patterns are strongholds and strongholds need to be broken.
Break the cycle, the chain, the pattern.
We're so locked in a cycle.
God presents an open door before us.
Are you going to be courageous enough, trusting in God enough, to walk through? (With thanks to my pastor. The previous has been from this morning's message!)
Psalm 37:5 Commit everything you do to the LORD.
Trust him, and he will help you.
7 Be still in the presence of the LORD,
and wait patiently for him to act.
27 Turn from evil and do good,
and you will live in the land forever. (NLT)
Matthew 20: 32Jesus stopped in the road and called, "What do you want me to do for you?"
33"Lord," they said, "we want to see!" 34Jesus felt sorry for them and touched their eyes. Instantly they could see! Then they followed him.
Jesus is asking you today, right now, "What do you want from me?"
Tell Him. Enter into a relationship with Him. Develop that relationship with Him through prayer, Bible study and fellowshipping with fellow believers.
