The Next Level

The unbeaten Indianapolis Colts against the undefeated New England Patriots.

The Colts played great and lead most of the way.

They dictated the pace, controlled the time of possession,

and had a 10-point lead in the final quarter.

New England scored twice in the last 10 minutes to win.

There are two lessons here.

A great effort can fall short with the slighest lapse in focus and performance.

A so-so effort can turn around in one or two shining moments.

So...never stop trying. Make every moment count.

(Thanks to my boss for the above.)

I would add this...

It's how we end that matters.

Is that scriptural?

To the degree that we end up in heaven.

To the degree that we get to hear Him say,

"Well done, thou good and faithful servant."

But each step along the way is important.

The sum of the parts is greater than the whole.

Is THAT scriptural?

Do you want to go to the next level in God?

Then obey Him in the here and now.

What's He saying to you right now?

Do it.

Don't waste your talents.

Don't hide them.

Step out in faith.

Believe Him.

Take Him at His Word.

Accomplish great things not for you.

For Him.

Hunger and thirst for righteousness.

In our recent election, I prayed,

"Let righteouness prevail."

And I believe God answered that prayer.

What's "righteousness"?

Partly "right choices".

Start now.

The finish line is in sight!
