Last night in prayer I kept seeing the image of an x-ray I had earlier in the day which revealed my skull.
I've seen x-ray pictures of other people's skulls, but this was MY skull.
Made me realize once again how fragile we are.
And the people around us.
What are we really?
Bones with skin dressing.
Oh, but much more.
It's what's inside that really counts.
Every person is a soul, an eternal soul.
The question then remains...
Where will that soul spend eternity?
Gives a sense of urgency to the whole situation we're in.
Lord, we invite Your presence.
How we need Your presence.
We're so weak, so fragile, but You are mighty!
Give us Your words to unlock problems, to unlock hearts.
Only You can do it.
Why aren't things happening like what we read in Mark?
The miracles. The healings. The salvations.
What are the obstacles?
And another thing...
There seems to be a real disconnect between the prayer room and the rest of the world.
In the prayer room anything and everything seems possible.
Step out into the fray and suddenly there seems to be a paradigm shift.
Lord, narrow the gap.
Help us take the prayer room with us.
Come with me from the prayer room into the real world.
