It's a Battle

Prayer.

I sensed this as I went to the teen drop in centre where I spend some Friday nights praying.

There are so many distractions.

Have to keep reminding myself why I'm there.

(God told me to go. It was pretty clear. Started with a desire. Followed up with confirmation at another prayer gathering.)

Press through. Pray through.

Battle the darkness in Jesus' Name.

Interestingly, I read this earlier...

"As I reread many of the miracles of the New Testament, I began to see that many of the healings were an act of war.

I John 3:8 says, 'For this purpose was the Son of God revealed, that He may destroy the works of the devil.'

Also Acts 10:38 says, 'He went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed of the devil for God was with Him.'"

A prayer request came through re: a teen out on the street high on drugs.

He came up to the window where I was praying, hit it, screamed and left with about ten other young people heading off into the night.

Talk about helping you re-focus!

Are you mad at the devil for what he's doing?

Jesus said the devil's specific job is to steal, kill and destroy.

He's after our young with a vengeance.

Probably still mad he lost at Calvary.

Jesus says He came to bring abundant, overflowing life.

O that these precious young ones would turn to Him.
