Itching Ears

...but in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 14:12, Proverbs 16:25

A simple man believes anything,

but a prudent man gives thought to his steps. Proverbs 14:15

All scripture is inspired by God and is useful

for teaching us what is true,

rebuking (making us realize what is wrong in our lives),

correcting (straightening us out),

and training in righteousness ( teaching us to do what is right).

Equipping us, preparing us for every good thing God wants us to do.

2 Timothy 3:16,17

For a time is coming

when people will no longer listen to right teaching.

They will follow their own desires and

will look for teachers who will tell them

whatever they want to hear.

They will reject the truth and follow strange myths.

2 Timothy 4:3,4

He leadeth me, O bless'd thought!

O words with heavenly comfort fraught!

Whate'er I do, where'er I be

Still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me.

He leadeth me, He leadeth me,

By His own hand He leadeth me;

His faithful follower I would be,

For by His hand He leadeth me.

Sometimes mid scenes of deepest gloom,

Sometimes where Eden's bowers bloom,

By waters still, over troubled sea,

Still 'tis His hand that leadeth me.

He leadeth me, He leadeth me,

By His own hand He leadeth me;

His faithful follower I would be,

For by His hand He leadeth me.

Lord, I would place my hand in Thine,

Nor ever murmur nor repine;

Content, whatever lot I see,

Since 'tis my God that leadeth me.

He leadeth me, He leadeth me,

By His own hand He leadeth me;

His faithful follower I would be,

For by His hand He leadeth me.

And when my task on earth is done,

When by Thy grace the victory's won,

E'en death's cold wave I will not flee,

Since God through Jordan leadeth me.

He leadeth me, He leadeth me,

By His own hand He leadeth me;

His faithful follower I would be,

For by His hand He leadeth me.
