I was struggling with an issue this morning.

I was going to grab a coffee.

Instead I grabbed my Bible.

Today's psalm for me is Psalm 46.

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear."

"God is". Right now. Right here.

"Our refuge and strength."

What's a refuge? Somewhere, someone, you run to in time of need.

Strength.

Feeling weak today? God is our strength.

"A very present help in trouble." Ever-present. Always.

Remember, He said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" ?

"Present". Right now.

"Present". Not absent.

And what's the bottom line?

Because He is our refuge and strength right now...

Therefore (that's what the "there" is there for)...

We...will...not...fear.
