OK, so this morning before heading off to work, I read my psalm for the day. Psalm 23. The Lord is my Shepherd. I have everything I need. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths. I will fear no evil... for You are with me. ...You are with me. Hallelujah! Then later in the day as I'm working along, I hear in the background a song. Amanda Stott singing, "You're Not Alone". Coincidence? I think not. A number of years ago when I was working the (very) early morning shift, I heard this same song, "You're Not Alone". I wasn't paying attention, but my ears suddenly perked up and I realized what I was listening to. You're not alone. I'm not alone. The Lord, my Shepherd, says, He is with me. And because of that fact... I will fear no evil, for You are with me. A couple of years ago I was able to personally tell Amanda Stott just how much her song had ministered to me at a stressful time. Take heart today. You're not alone. He is with you. And elsewhere in scripture he has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. Powerful.
