"You didn't have enough faith," Jesus told them.
"Because of your unbelief."
"Because you have so little faith."
"Because of the littleness of your faith".
Want to have more faith?
First, use what you have.
Scripture says we've all been given a measure of faith.
Faith is a gift and faith is also a fruit of the Spirit.
You can ask for the gift.
You can cultivate the fruit.
Jesus said, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed you could say to this mountain
(whatever the particular "mountain" in your life is today),
'Move from here to there,' and it would move.
Nothing would be impossible."
How do you feed your faith?
You're doing it right now, by reading the parts of this blog that are His Word.
The Bible.
In big doses.
I just finished reading psalms for a while.
They are so fine.
What I would take to a desert island if I only has a few choices.
Now I'll be working though the gospels again.
Looking for fresh Word.
Looking for something to feed my faith.
So I can move mountains.
Not me doing the moving, you understand.
But Jesus did say,"... you could say to this mountain, 'Move'..."
P.S.
He's more than the laughter or the stars in the heavens
As close a heartbeat or a song on our lips
Someday we'll trust Him and learn how to see Him
Someday He'll call us and we will come running
And fall in His arms and the tears will fall down and we'll pray,
I want to fall in love with You
It seems too easy to call you Savior,
Not close enough to call you God
So as I sit and think of words I can mention
To show my devotion
I want to fall in love with You
