Christian Commentary Encouraging Devotions

I lie in the dust, completely discouraged.

I weep with grief.

My soul melts with heaviness.

My soul is weary with sorrow.

Here comes the antidote.

Revive me by Your word.

Encourage me by Your Word.

Strengthen me by Your word.

I like the King James English... Quicken me by Your word.

Help me understand the meaning of Your commandments.

Keep me from lying to myself.

Hmmm. Do you lie to yourself? Do I?

Like when we say everything's alright when it isn't.

Remove the false and deceitful way from me.

I have chosen the way of truth.

I have chosen to be faithful.

I have determined to live by Your commandments.

I have stuck to Your commandments.

I holdfast. I cling.

If You will help me, I will run to follow Your commandments.

If You will help me!

God has promised to be a very present help in time of need. Psalm 46:1

The Lord longs to be gracious to you.

At the sound of your cry, when He hears it,

He will answer you. Isaiah 30:18,19
