the spirit of faith comes from God.

It cannot be manufactured.

Hebrews 12:2 calls Jesus the Author and Originator of our faith,

so faith cannot be pumped up.

Jesus is the Source of true faith.

He also happens to be the Perfecter of faith.

True faith, God's kind of faith, starts with the Lord

and continues with Him during the maturing process.

This speaks of relationship. The faith of God is only obtained

within the confines of a living, loving relationship

where the seed of faith, having been conceived in love

as a direct planting of the Lord, is allowed to grow.

All of this takes place in the unseen realm of the spirit.

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2:5 that our faith is not to stand

in the wisdom of men,

rather it's to stand in the power of God.

That's because the wisdom of man cannot handle it!

It's too deep for the natural mind.

But the spirit is able to understand.

No wonder this thing called faith pleases God.

God is Spirit.

Faith is part of the same realm in which He operates.
