Building Faith

"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived,

no mind has imagined,

what God has prepared for those who love him"—

but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.

God has prepared great things.

And God has revealed, and is still revealing, those great things.

Faith is one of the great gifts God has for His children.

There are things to be learned about faith,

things that God reveals to us by His Spirit.

As we wait on Him, He will lead us into those areas

that are far greater than our natural minds can comprehend.

Faith, first of all, is the substance or assurance of things hoped for.

Heb.11:1

You cannot see the things that you have possessed by faith,

but that faith itself is the very substance of what will be made visible

in the natural realm in time.

Faith is secondly the evidence or conviction of things unseen.

You do not need the physical evidence that something exists.

The only evidence you need is the spirit of faith

which gives the assurance that it does in fact exist.

The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God,

this faith,

is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living.

It's our handle on what we can't see.
