A Horse, Honor and Hope
I grabbed some encouragement before heading to a scary work assignment yesterday.
God takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse
or in human might.
Neither of these things impress Him.
No, the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him, who honor Him,
those who put their hope in his unfailing love.
Those who fear God get God's attention;
they can depend on his strength.
P.S. It worked!
Trusting Him early, putting Him first works.
I marvel at people who face life's scary situations in their own strength.
They're doomed. Won't work. Can't work.
We were designed to do it the Designer's way.
And His way is trust, pure and simple.
The old hymn got it right...
"Trust and obey...there's no other way."
